About Me

Hessa Al Mehairi is a writer and illustrator of children's books. She obtains a Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education, and a Double Master degree in Education and Management Policy. Currently, she is pursuing her Master of Fine Arts in the Academy of Art University, majoring in illustration.

Al Mehairi was in love with Art since she was a child. She loved drawing, coloring and hands on activities. Her whole life she imagined being an artist. However, her life took a different turn, and she became a kindergarten teacher!

That was actually an eye-opening experience, as she discovered her love of writing and reading for children.Thus, she decided to use her passion for Art and illustrate children and young adult books. Now, Al Mehairi works as a freelance illustrator, and this is just the beginning of her dream!
